No matter what your budget, there is a quality airport hotel in New Delhi for you. Staying by the airport makes travel days less stressful. A good airport hotel should be conveniently located, and offer guests a sense of comfort and sanctuary. All of the hotels on this list do exactly that.

I have flown in and out of New Delhi countless times, and often stayed at airport hotels. Even though I now live in Delhi, I still opt to stay in an airport hotel if I have an early morning flight.

Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport is one of the 10 busiest airports in the world, and the most busy airport in India. You can imagine, there are countless hotels by the airport. I’ve filtered out all but the very best for you, many of which I have stayed in myself.

10 BEST New Delhi Airport Hotels for Every Budget

The majority of better quality airport hotels are located in Aerocity, a purpose built hotel and entertainment hub beside the Delhi international airport. If a luxury or better mid-range hotel isn’t in your budget, don’t worry! There are good budget options within a few kilometres of the airport.

1. JW Marriott Hotel New Delhi

JW Marriott is one of the very best hotels by the Delhi airport. What I really love about this property are the beds – they are super comfy!

The hotel is located in Aerocity, so you can be at the international and domestic terminals in minutes, and there’s loads of dining and shopping options within an easy walk. If you want to get into Delhi for sight-seeing, there’s a metro station right there making the whole city easy to access.

2. The Leela Ambience Gurugram Hotel & Residences

The Leela Ambience is another of the very best hotels near the airport. Leela is India’s premiere luxury hotel brand, and all their properties are superb.

I’ve stayed at this Leela several times. Beds are super comfortable, staff are amazing and the hotel has top notch facilities. You can expect the very best at this 5 star property.

The hotel is less than 10 km from the Delhi airport, about a 20 minute drive. It also adjoins one of the best malls in the area, Ambience Mall. So you’ll have plenty of entertainment, shopping and dining option within a two minute walk.

3. Andaz Delhi

If you love to eat and drink well, this is the perfect luxury New Delhi airport hotel for you. Andaz Delhi has two excellent and popular restaurants, and one of the best lounges in the city, Juniper. It’s also home to Khubani, one of Delhi’s most luxe clubs that regularly hosts live Sufi nights.

Besides the entertainment, it’s a Hyatt hotel and has the largest guest rooms in Aerocity. You can be in the centre of Delhi in 30 minutes using the metro, and at the airport in less than 10.

4. Pullman New Delhi Aerocity Hotel

Pullman New Delhi is another well located Aerocity luxury hotel. It is connected to its more budget friendly sister property Novotel, and they share the same gym and pool.

I love the bolster style pillows they provide and the soaking tubs in the bathroom, plus there’s 5 restaurants to choose from! You can be at the New Delhi airport in minutes from this hotel, and use the metro to easily get into the centre of Delhi.

5. Radisson Blu Plaza Delhi Airport

This luxury hotel is 5 km from the airport, about a 15 minute drive from the terminals. This is a really nice hotel, and the location is great for getting to and from the airport. But what I really love about this Radisson Blu is their pool. It’s a gorgeous resort style swimming pool, with palm trees and lots of loungers.

The hotel is also popular with locals for one of their restaurants, the Great Kabab Factory. If your idea of unwinding is lying around a gorgeous pool and eating well, this may be the perfect hotel for you.

6. Novotel New Delhi Aerocity

Novotel is one of the few mid-range hotels at Aerocity. What’s great about Novotel is that it’s connected to the luxury Pullman Hotel, and guests can use all the facilities at the Pullman, including the outdoor swimming pool.

This is my top pick for a mid-range hotel near the airport. Considering that you can use all the amenities of the 5 star Pullman next door, Novotel is great value.

7. Holiday Inn New Delhi International Airport

For families, the Holiday Inn in Aerocity is a great choice. Children under 12 can stay and eat for free when accompanied by a hotel guest, there’s an outdoor pool, and babysitting services are available. Plus, the airport is only a few minutes drive away.

Don’t confuse this Holiday Inn with the Holiday Inn Express located inside Terminal 3 at the airport – they are completely different. This Holiday Inn is much better (and less expensive).

8. Vivanta New Delhi, Dwarka

This is the best 5 star hotel with mid-range prices within 30 minutes of the Delhi airport. I’ve stayed here before when connecting to a domestic flight, and think it’s great value.

The hotel is famous for its distinct angular theme, which extends from the architecture to the interior decor. If you want something a little different, you’ll enjoy staying here.

9. Saltstayz Le Icon – Cyber Hub

This is a boutique hotel, 8 km from the Delhi airport (20-30 minutes drive). What I really like about Saltstayz Le Icon is the location in a residential neighbourhood, which means it’s quiet. This is an excellent budget option.

Cyberhub is 2 km away (an outdoor retail and entertainment hub), so you’ll have endless options for food and shopping. The Delhi metro is within walking distance so you can easily explore all of Delhi from here.

10. La Sapphire Hotel

This no-frills budget hotel is an excellent choice only 5 km away from the Delhi airport. You can be at the airport terminals in less than 15 minutes. It’s a basic hotel, but great value.

You can walk to restaurants, shops and the Delhi metro from the hotel, so you can easily access all the sites and attractions of Delhi.

Transit Hotel Inside Terminal 3 of the Delhi Airport

If you have a connecting domestic or international flight from Terminal 3 within 24 hours, you can stay at the Holiday Inn Express transit hotel. The hotel is located inside Terminal 3, past security.

Keep in mind, once you’ve checked in you cannot leave the hotel until your departure time. If you plan to explore anywhere outside the airport, don’t stay here.

This hotel gets mixed reviews, and it’s expensive, so just be aware. On the other hand, it’s super convenient and easier than leaving the airport. If you just want to sleep and shower this might be the best choice for you.
