Staying by the airport makes travel days less stressful. A good airport hotel should be conveniently located, and offer guests a sense of comfort and sanctuary. All of the hotels on this list do exactly that.
I have flown in and out of New Delhi countless times and stayed at many of these hotels. There are many options, so I’ve narrowed it down to the best airport hotels at different budgets so you can find the right one for you.

10 Best New Delhi Airport Hotels for Every Budget
The best place to stay near the airport is Aerocity. It’s a purpose built hotel and entertainment hub that’s a 10 minute drive from the airport. The location is ideal, but the hotels are all luxury or upper mid-range, so it’s not cheap.
I’m also going to list a few options that are still close to the airport, but not in Aerocity. They are better value.
Best Aerocity Hotels
These are the best of the Aerocity hotels:
- JW Marriott Hotel New Delhi (luxury): I think this is the best 5 star hotel at Aerocity. They have the most comfortable beds and it’s a lovely hotel with all the amenities. It’s also pet friendly.
- Andaz Delhi (luxury): A contemporary hotel in the Hilton group. It’s got the largest guest rooms in Aerocity and is home to two fabulous restaurants and the specialty gin bar, Juniper.
- Pullman New Delhi Aerocity Hotel (luxury): This hotel is connected to the mid-range Novotel, and they share amenities. Between the two hotels guests have 5 restaurants and a bar to choose from. But what I love at Pullman are the soaker tubs – great after traveling.
- Novotel New Delhi Aerocity (mid-range): My top Aerocity mid-range hotel. It’s connected to the 5 star luxury hotel Pullman, so guests can use all the amenities. Great value for 5 star perks at mid-range prices.
- Holiday Inn New Delhi International Airport (mid-range): Ideal for families. Kids under 12 can stay and eat for free and there’s an outdoor pool. Don’t confuse this Holiday Inn with the Holiday Inn Express inside Terminal 3 at the airport. This Holiday Inn is much better (and less expensive).
Best New Delhi Airport Hotels that Aren’t in Aerocity
Here are my top picks for hotels that are very close to the airport, but not right in Aerocity.
- Leela Ambience Gurugram Hotel & Residences (luxury): I’ve stayed here many times – it’s the best 5 star hotel near the airport (a 20 minute drive). Everything at the Leela is exceptional. It’s also next door to an excellent mall with all sorts of shops, restaurants and a cinema.
- Radisson Blu Plaza Delhi Airport (luxury): Very convenient location only 5 km from the airport. What I really love about this Radisson Blu is the gorgeous resort style swimming pool, with palm trees and loungers. Perfect if you just want to relax.
- Vivanta New Delhi, Dwarka (luxury): A good choice 20 minutes drive from the airport. I stayed here when connecting to a domestic flight, and thought it was good value. The hotel is famous for its distinct angular theme which extends to the rooms.
- Saltstayz Premier CyberHub (mid-range): A boutique hotel 8 km from the Delhi airport. It’s in a residential area so it’s quieter than most hotels near the airport. Great location near CyberHub (shopping and entertainment hub) and the Delhi metro.
- La Sapphire Hotel (budget): No-frills budget hotel just 5 km from the New Delhi airport. It’s basic, but great value. The location is busy, though. Not a good spot for more than one night.
Transit Hotel Inside Terminal 3 of the Delhi Airport
If you have a connecting domestic or international flight from Terminal 3 within 24 hours, you can stay at the Holiday Inn Express transit hotel. The hotel is located inside the secured area of Terminal 3.
This hotel gets mixed reviews and is expensive, but if you can’t leave the terminal and want a good sleep and shower it’s the best option.
It’s not my first choice – the hotels in Aerocity are cheaper and better, but you will need a visa to leave the airport so keep that in mind.
